The Year 7-8 Coolock Centre at Padua College Mornington creates a strong sense of community, belonging and connection to the College’s Catholic values through a flexible and contemporary learning environment.
Its distinctive Y-shaped layout organises 18 classrooms around a central atrium, which serves as a flexible gathering and assembly space. The form also reflects the College’s philosophy of helping students discover their purpose and find their “why.”
Open planning, visible staff areas and welcoming communal spaces support student wellbeing and safety. Overall, the Coolock Centre successfully balances learning, flexibility, identity, wellbeing and community for approximately 550 students.
