Melbourne One + Australis

These sister towers adjoin on a site in the western sector of Melbourne’s Capital City Zone.

Australis' site formed part of The Age newspaper’s printworks. This former use informed the striking graphic design on the sheathed podium, enlivening the facade with a representation of printers’ blocks.

Melbourne One is the 'big sister' to Australis. The Lonsdale Street frontage retains an early 20th-century warehouse with elaborate brick-and-stucco detailing, originally occupied by a carriage manufacturer. This tower’s podium is cloaked in a similar screen to that of Australis, and the two towers are separated by a large rooftop garden.
