Coles Supermarkets Roll-out

Since 2006, Baldasso Cortese has collaborated with the Coles renewal team, fast becoming their preferred architects in the Victorian market.

In general, our briefs include rebranding existing supermarkets by installing new Fresh Produce and Deli areas. We calibrate our approach based on a targeted design developed by Coles. Our team’s extensive knowledge and expertise in supermarket design, along with the complex project management challenges involved in coordinating an upgrade program, ensured the renewal was brought to successful completion. We executed the construction and refurbishment of each supermarket with minimal disruption to daily operations, giving the client’s staff confidence in our ability to complete the building works without impacting the business and workplace environment.

Centred around a revolutionary ‘hawker stand/market’ concept, the solution involved removing the ceilings, exposing the structure, and incorporating materials with a raw edge.
Our involvement commenced at the pre-approval stage, providing technical advice on defining the capital works program for the forthcoming financial year.
