Extensive glazing provides a sense of being at one with the landscape and reduces reliance on artificial lighting.
Upon approach through the forest, the house is revealed as a dramatic addition to the landscape.
Once inside, the demarcation between the house and surrounding landscape dematerialises.

The house cantilevers from the rock embankment, sitting gently on the sloped site. The design reflects a deep appreciation of place, materiality, and Australian design values. Materials include concrete, timber, and steel in muted tones of grey and black.
